Want your kiddos to eat more greens but struggling to get them excited about it? Make a “Shrek Smoothie”. Loaded with immune-boosting whole foods, fiber, omega-3s, hydration and flavour, a green smoothie is a great way to boost daily intake of nourishment for tiny humans.
Mix the following ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
1 heaping cup frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 large frozen banana
1/4 cup packed fresh parsley leaves (swap in spinach if the parsley taste is too strong for the kiddos)
2 tablespoons avocado
1 teaspoon packed fresh grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon probiotic powder, optional
1 cup water
lemon or lime slice, for garnish
